To my opinion, it wouldn't there take place "to be involved in controversy"
to know what is the best technology, one doesn't buy numeric in the idea
to replace its analogic device, as well as internet isn't there to replace
the telephone. However the kind of question: " to your opinion, what
is best two ? " Was often put to me, and this debate continues to
be fed by some magazines. The numeric is practical, the argentique is
artistic. Or if you wish the numeric privileges the bottom to the shape.
To stay in the current tendency, here is the result of the digital-analogic
"match".
Optical
: advantage analogic
At
equal price (762-1100 Euros), analogic device propose you reflex with
exchangeable objectives, the numeric not!
If prowills were made as regards zooms, the frame of the objective remains
fixed.
Nikon and Olympus proposes " optical complements" , but this
one screw on the existing objective, where from a deterioration of the
image and in certain cases a masking of lighting of the flash.
If you want a reflex with digital exchangeable objective, it'll be necessary
to you to invest at least 3000 euros.
Please, also note the difficulty finding a numeric with a zoom starting
in 28 mm.
Imaging
quality : advantage analogic

There,
there's no doubt.
The sensor CCD reaches the 3.3 million pixels and it becomes a technological
limit, except the case of the great CCD of Fuji and the new sensors 4
million and 5.23 million which didn't appear in the traditional ranges
yet. Now, it's allowed that so that numerics reach the quality of the
analogic, would be needed at least sensors of 11 million Pixels, and one
is still far from the 96 million pixels which one can pull of a slide,
with a professional scanner all the same. And they aren't the only elements
to be taken in account: please, note as well the difficulty as in a numeric
to restore the flesh-coloured tones, the compression of the images in
JPEG, and finally the necessity to master all the digital processing (device,
computer adapted to the treatment of image, software, printer and paper)
make that the analogic remains widely superior in this domain.
On
the left photo, you can notice that the hairs of the snout of the dog
have much more pixel to the left (digital photo) than to the right (photo
stemming from a digitalization of slide)

Storage
: advantage digital
No more film, no more failed photos, no more concerns of arrangement,
saving of space, immediate availability, conservation in the time, superior
capacity, the support is unchanging and not in that to make constraints
of quite sorts (temperatures, scores, ageing), treatment and retouches
easy. Here are the multiple advantages of the memory card and thus of
the digital system. e.
Ergonomics
et fonctions : Average
The
sight (when it's integrated) digital devices is of less good quality than
that of the analogics, but those this get a screen LCD showing all the
information relative to the image and to the regulations.
The photographics functions are more lacking to numerics (one finds all
the functions of manual parameter settings of analogics.
The commands are very intuitive on numerics.
Conclusion
If
one is held in a comparison in quality term, the numeric is still in retreat.
But there isn't the subject, the numeric remaining matchless on highly-rated
practises (has a practice), and it's this consideration which has to dominate
on quite other.
It's moreover the reason for which the first buyers of numerics were professionals
(real-estate agents, architects, experts automobile, medecins and dentists),
because they needed to be able to exploit them dumped at once.
The private individuals begin to buy, because of an increase of the value
for money, but it never is in the optics to replace the argentique by
the numeric.
